Meeting Minutes
November 9, 2009
Present: Ron Kroese, Peter Lindstrom, Nina Semmelroth, Brian Goodspeed, Ethan Wagner, Justin Miller
Absent: Diane Ross, Michael Talbot, Stan Sveen, Gretel Keene
Guests: University of Minnesota students
Minutes of October 12th were approved with no changes.
Miller introduced the University of Minnesota students who are working on a class project. Their tasks are to investigate various recycling best practices and neighborhood sustainability
ideas. The students asked questions of the commission, and the commissioners provided feedback on where they wanted the project to lead. The students’ work will be near completion
by the next environment commission meeting.
Miller updated the commission on the status of the GreenStep Cities program. More information will be made available at the next meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:15 pm.
