Meeting called to order 7:00 PM
Final design concept for Curtiss Field
Maertz presented the final design concept for the improvements for Curtiss Field. The final design locates the gazebo on the NW corner of the park and includes a walking path around
the entire drainage area.
Review of proposals for engineering services for Curtiss Field project
Howard R. Green Company, 1326 energy Park Drive St. Paul, MN was the low bid at a cost not to exceed $19,500
Park and Recreation Update
A) Maertz stated that the ice rinks were behind schedule because of the warm weather and that maintenance crews would be going on evening shifts in order to build up the ice.
B) Discussion of fees for summer programs. Maertz stated that a fee increase was in order so that users were paying a higher percentage of the cost of the program. Council member Lamb
stated that he would like to see more revenue from the recreation program. Lamb suggested using a tree sale as a fundraiser.
C) Commission member Daykin asked if there had been any progress on the Folwell corridor path. Maertz replied that there was interest from Lauderdale and that he would be meeting with
Lauderdale staff to discuss a shared project.
Maertz noted that a neighborhood meeting would be necessary to discuss neighborhood concerns.
Meeting ended 8:00 PM
