Nina Semmelroth, Ron Kroese, Michael Talbot, Gretel Keene Guests: Senator Ellen Anderson, University of Minnesota students 1. Minutes of November 9th meeting were approved with no changes.
2. Students from the University of Minnesota sustainability program presented their report on recycling to the commission. The report detailed area recycling firms, materials collected,
dual stream and single stream analysis, as well as the results from a survey they conducted. The commission asked several questions of the students and thanked them for their efforts.
Miller stated that he would email the commission copies of the reports. 3. Miller updated the commission on the status of the GreenStep Cities program. The MPCA is working on developing
best practices for the cities to implement, and Miller will bring those back to the commission ?commission for review at an upcoming meeting. 4. Miller presented a personal energy report
that Xcel Energy recently sent in the mail. The commission is interested in finding out how widespread this report will be distributed and may be interested in using it in future initiatives.
