Miller Absent: Stan Sveen, Gretel Keene, Ethan Wagner 1. Minutes from the April 12th meeting were approved (Montgomery, Semmelroth) 2. Miller reviewed the changes in the recycling RFP
since the last meeting, including the tentative schedule. Most of the discussion revolved around how to best structure the evaluation criteria, with a desire of most of the commission
to emphasize environmental and education aspects as much as possible. It was also recommended that we ask for haulers to indicate what their experience was with residuals in each type
of collection they are proposing. In the end the commission affirmed the RFP and directed staff to let the council know about their wish to evaluate the proposals from not only an economic
standpoint but also from an environmental and educational standpoint. 3. Miller provided brief u?pdates on both the GreenStep Cities and Giving Garden programs. The meeting adjourned
