City Engineer The City That Soars! Item Award of Bid – 2010 Crack Seal & Sealcoat Description The 2010 Crack Seal & Sealcoat project consists of routine maintenance of streets within
the city. Generally, all of the city street segments east of Snelling Avenue are included in this contract. The streets that were not listed are on the city’s five year capital improvement
plan for mill and overlay. Staff advertised the project for three weeks in June. The bids were opened on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 10 a.m. Budget Impact The city received two bids for
this project. The lowest responsible bid submitted by Pearson Bros. Inc., $131,344.50, is 26% lower than the Engineer’s construction estimate of $177,830.90. The following is a summary
of the bids received for this project: Contractor Bid Pearson Bros, Inc. $131,344.50 Allied Blacktop, Co $154,980.08 This project is proposed to be paid for by using Municipal State

SEAL & SEALCOAT FOR THE CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS WHEREAS, by the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights, as follows: Pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement, according
to the plans and specifications thereof on file in the office of the City Administrator, said bids were received on Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., opened and tabulated according
to law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Bid Pearson Bros, Inc. $131,344.50 Allied Blacktop, Co $154,980.08 WHEREAS, it appears that Pearson
Bros. Inc, of Hanover, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder at the tabulated price of $131,344.50; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Falcon Heights,
Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Mayor and Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Pearson Bros. Inc, of Hanover, Minnesota for $131,344.50 in the
name of the City of Falcon Heights for the above improvements according to the plans and specifications. 2. The City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to
