City of Falcon Heights Environment Commission Meeting Minutes January 10, 2011 Present: Peter Lindstrom, Nina Semmelroth, Brian Goodspeed, Diane Ross, Gretel Keene, Justin Miller Absent:
Rebecca Montgomery, Ethan Wagner , Stan Sveen 1. Nominations for commission chair were submitted, and both Diane Ross and Brian Goodspeed received nominations. Upon discussion, both
agreed to serve as co-chairs for 2011. 2. Miller updated the commission on the GreenStep Cities program and the city’s status. The commission reviewed the steps that still needed to
be taken and discussed potential options. Lindstrom suggested that the formal policies that needed to be approved (such as urban forest and recycled paper purchasing) be reviewed by
the commission at the next meeting. 3. The commission quickly reviewed the green strategic plan that students from Mankato developed. It closely resembled the GreenStep Cities outline
and the commission approve acceptance of the report. The meeting adjourned at 7:35 pm. Falcon Heights Environment Commission
