The City That Soars! Item Emergency Management Exercise Description Over the past several years, the city council and staff have periodically convened to hold an emergency management
exercise. These exercises are a good way to measure the city’s emergency preparedness status and to determine what areas need to be improved upon in the case of an actual emergency.
This year the exercise will include the city’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members, who would be a critical asset in the case of an emergency. The exercise will be led by
an outside consultant and will focus on how we respond to a natural disaster. Please note that this exercise and workshop will be held on a different date and time than normal workshops.
This exercise will begin at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 3rd in the city council chambers. Budget Impact Expenses associated with this exercise will be covered under a grant that the
city received through the State of Minnesota Citizen Corps grant program. Attachment(s) Action(s) Requested No action is needed.
