City of Falcon Heights Environment Commission Meeting Minutes February 14, 2011 Present: Peter Lindstrom, Brian Goodspeed, Ethan Wagner , Stan Sveen, Diane Ross, Justin Miller Absent:
Gretel Keene, Nina Semmelroth, Rebecca Montgomery Guests: Rick Carter, LHB Architects 1. Rick Carter presented his preliminary findings on the carbon footprint analysis that he has been
working on. The report focused on water, waste, energy, and vehicle miles traveled. It is his intention to share this information with other cities wishing to do similar projects and
the city council. The commission encouraged sharing the information and directed staff to arrange for a meeting between Carter and the city council. 2. Miller introduced the draft environmentally
friendly purchasing policy, as is required in order to claim credit under the GreenStep Cities program. The commission agreed with the language and found no changes that needed to be
made. The meeting adjourned at 7:35 pm. Falcon Heights Environment Commission
