MINUTES Or THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />OCTOBER 13, 2005 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 13th day of <br />October, 2005 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair Dan Knudsen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Tom Duray <br />Mr. Jon Hall <br />Mr. Gary Rheaume <br />Ms. Katie Socha <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. Tom Wojcik <br />Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />MINUTES The September 8 and September 15, 2005 Planning Commission meeting <br />minutes were approved as submitted. <br />COMPRE- Knudsen noted that at last month's meeting the issue of the pylon sign <br />HENSIVE with electronic reader board requested by AE Sign Systems was tabled <br />SIGN PLAN - pending additional information fi•om City staff relative to what the <br />AE SIGN surrounding cities allow. Knudsen reviewed the Code Enforcement <br />SYSTEMS Officer's report which states that the Cities of Shoreview, Roseville, <br /> Maplewood, Vadnais Heights, and White Bear Lake prohibit flashing <br /> signs. The Cities of Shoreview, Maplewood, and White Bear Lake also <br /> prohibiC electronic message boards, while the Cities of Roseville and <br /> Vadnais Heights allow them subject Co the following conditions: <br />Roseville -allows electronic reader boards that can be changed by <br />mechanical or electrical means no more than once every 24 hours. <br />Vadnais Heights -may not have different color lights. The <br />message must be low enough to read so as to not disturb the safe <br />movement of traffic. City Planner approves changing text, <br />
