Over the
years, obstructions had damned the outlet and caused the lake levels to be
higher than recorded infiormatiou. When the reconstruction was
completed, the lake level declined and residents expressed concerns about
the lower levels.
The Administrator indicated that the Watershed, in conjunction with the
DNR, held a meeting with the Savage i,al<e property owners and agreed to
restore the lake level However, due to DNR regulations, 100% of the
property owners abutting the lake will need to consent to the increased
lake level. The Watershed had submitted consent forms to all property
owners. Given that the City is also a property owner abutting the lake, it
will need to complete a Letter of Agreement as well.
Mr. LaValle introduced the Following resolution and moved its adoption:
RES'OI IITION NO. 2005-T-I5 -ADTFIORIZING TTIE MAYOR AM)
CITI'ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE LETTER OF
AGREEMENT RELATIVE TO INCREASE SAVAGE I AKE WATER
I_EVII,S' ON BEHALF' OE TILE CITY
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis.
Ayes (5) LaValle, Keis, Montour, Allan, Blesener.
Nays (0).
