MINUTRS <br />CTTY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 31, 2005 <br />cycle. If paver bricks are used, there are issues with settlement. The <br />Engineer also indicated the high cost associated with porous pavement and <br />paver bricks. <br />Keis noted the proximity of Gervais Mill Dark and asked why this park <br />isn't sufficient for stone water treatment for Noel Drive. The Engineer <br />indicated that the Watershed has reported that the ponds are tw-bid, <br />therefore have requested additional treatment. <br />A resident asked for details of how the assessment of costs would work. <br />The City Engineer explained the assessment process. <br />One resident pointed out that an improvement to the property will result in <br />higher property taxes. The Engineer noted that the improvement will <br />increase property values. The City Administrator agreed that property <br />values should increase by the amount of the assessment He also noted the <br />general trend in property value increases ii1 Little Canada, estimating <br />increases in the 15% range. <br />There were no additional comments from the general public present. <br />Upon motion by Montour, seconded by Keis, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE.S"07. DRI UE AS PROPOSED EY 7tIE CIT l' ENGINEER AND <br />AUT7~OR77.ING THE ENG]NEE'R TO PREPARE PLANS AM) <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (4) Montour, Allan, Blesener, ICeis. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ADJOURN Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESO7 UTIONNO.
