Resolution declared adopted. <br />WA'I'E12 The Finance Director reviewed her February 17, 2005 report relative to <br />RATES 3005 water rates in detail She noted that due to the renegotiation of the <br />City's contract with the City of St. Paul, Little Canada is realizing a <br />substantial reduction in its rate. Estimated savings is $127,000, and the <br />Finance Director proposed that the savings be passed on to Little Canada <br />water consumers in the form of a reduced water service fee and usage rate. <br />"Che Finance Director proposed that the water service fee be reduced from <br />$14.32 to $10.26 per quarter and die usage rate front an average of $2.19 <br />per thousand gallons to $2.04 per thousand gallons. <br />Blesener noted that this is an approximately 30% reduction in the water <br />service fee and a 7% to H% reduction in the per thousand gallon rate. <br />}3lesener noted the information relative to SAC charges. The Finance <br />Director noted that residential SAC units are based on dwelling units, and <br />as part of the sewer rate she would be proposing a more equitable SAC <br />allocation as it relates to mobilehome parks. She also suggested that there <br />may be the need to phase-in some of the adjustments Iroposed since some <br />may be significant.
