MINUTES Or THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 13, 2005 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 13`x' day of <br />April, 2005 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: <br />Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Ms. Barbara Allan <br />Mr. John Keis <br />ABSENT: <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />Finance Director Ms. Shelly Rueckert <br />Parks & Rec Director Mr. Jim Morelan <br />City Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />2005 GOALS The City Administrator noted Chat as a result of the Council/Staff <br />AND Goal Setting Session, seven goals were identified for 2005. The <br />ACTION Administrator presented the Council with draft action plans for <br />PLANS accomplishing these goals. <br />The first action plan reviewed addressed the goal "Improve Appearance of <br />Public Property". The Council reviewed this action plan and it was <br />suggested that a maintenance task be added. Allan noted that spring and <br />fall maintenance/weed removal is needed for the Marketplace and <br />Lakeside Ponds. <br />The next action plan dealt with the goal "Explore Options for Accepting <br />Credit Card Payments". Council reviewed the proposed action plan <br />discussing options for dealing with fees for credit card transactions. The <br />fees associated with large credit card transactions were of the most <br />concern. The City Administrator noted that the action plan lays out the <br />research and evaluation that will be done of the various options. A report <br />and recommendation will be brought back to the City Council for review <br />at a workshop meeting in late September. <br />Next reviewed was the "Develop Sidewalk Plan/Complete Trail System" <br />action plan.
