Attachment D
Park Programs in Cities with a Population between 5,000 and 15,000
(The activities listed are the most complete list of programs the city offers that I could
gather)
Falcon Heights: 5,491
Registration fees are through PayPal only
Prices vary between resident and non-resident
Age groups shown are the total that can participate the ages are then split up into different levels
With a smaller population Falcon Heights has to be creative about advertising. One way they can
do this is by using social media.
Only a few activities are offered during school year most of there take place in the summer
during the work clay i.e. 9:00 ate - 12 noon (See packet for more information)
Out of the 40 programs offered this summer (this includes classes scheduled at different times)
32 were offered. In order to minimize cancellations the City focuses on the cost versus revenue
of the program and tries to combine classes offered at different times.
The City also keeps a very low staff to student ratio for these programs. For very young children
the ratio is 3 children to 1 adult. As children get older the ration gets to be about 8 to 1.
In order to be able to offer scholarships to students the City asks businesses to donate. They also
put a donation line on registration forms for scholarships.
Pee Wee Sports Sampler
Age 4 — 5
$45-49
Mini Soccer •
Age 3 — 4
$45-49
Little Kicker Kickball & Soccer
Age 4 -- 8
$50-55
Coach/Pitch
Age 4- 5
$45-49
Blastball
Age 3 — 4
$45-49
Golf (SNAG) Starting New at Golf
Age 5 -- 8
$79-84
Cross Country
Age 6 —15
$50-57
Flag Football Camp
Age 6 —12
$ 79-84
Lacrosse Camp
Age 6 —12
$55-62
Pee Wee Tennis
Age 5 — 7
$50-55
Tennis
Age 8 — 9
$50-55
Private Tennis Lessons
Age Any?
$120 (6
lessons)
Tennis with the Family
Age 6 — adult
$50 per
family
Tennis Camps
Age 5 —10
$60-66
Tae Kwon Do (FALL)Age
6 -- Adult
$55-62
Tennis (Different Season & Age group) (FALL) ,
Age 5 —11
$30-36
Soccer (FALL)
Age 3 — 8
$30-36
1
