1203. DISCHARGE AND CONCEALMENT <br />1203.010. DISCHARGE OF DEADLY WEAPONS. Except as specifically authorized <br />Ir Minnesota Statue. in this chapter. all discharging and use of deadly weapons within the City <br />of Little Canada are hereby prohibited. The term "deadly weapon" as used herein shall include <br />the following: all firearms; bows and arrows when arrows are point tipped; all instruments used <br />to expel at high velocity any pellets of any kind, including, but not limited to B -B guns and air <br />rifles; sling shots; sand clubs; metal knuckles; and daggers, dirks and knives. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to shoot, discharge, or explode any preparation of potash, <br />mixture of sulphur and saltpeter, nitroglycerin, dynamite, plastic explosive, fireworks, or any <br />other kind of explosive material, and all such acts are hereby prohibited unless specifically <br />authorized by Minnesota Statue.permit issued by the City. <br />1203.020. CONCEALED WEAPONS. Except as provided in Minnesota Statutes <br />Section 624.714, it shall be unlawful for any person within the limits of Little Canada to carry or <br />wear concealed about his person, any pistol, dagger, switch blade knife, bowie knife, razor, metal <br />knuckles, or any other dangerous or deadly weapons. <br />1203.030. TERM. The term firearms, as used in this Code, shall include gas guns, <br />pressure guns, air guns, or other guns. <br />1203.040. CONFISCATION BY CITY. Any weapons or explosive materials duly <br />adjudged by the Municipal Court to have been discharged, worn or carried in violation of this <br />Code shall be confiscated and such weapons shall be turned over to the Chief of Police of the <br />City of Little Canada to be kept, sold or disposed of in the manner herein provided. <br />1203.050. USE 13Y LITTLE CANADA POLICE. Any weapons or materials confiscated <br />pursuant to this Code may be kept or used by the police department if such are adaptable to <br />police purposes. Any weapons and materials which would be dangerous to reintroduce into <br />channels of private sale or use, may, in the discretion of the City police, be destroyed. Any <br />weapons or materials which may be safely placed in the hands of private owners may be sold by <br />the police at public auction pursuant to at least two (2) weeks published notice of such sale. <br />1203.060. NOT APPLICABLE. This Code shall not apply to police officers or other <br />authorized personnel who possess a permit to carry pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section <br />624.714, when using firearms or other weapons in the regular course of performing their duties. <br />
