MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />OCTOBER 8, 2015 <br />PURCHASE OF <br />30 LITTLE <br />CANADA <br />ROAD <br />ADJOURN <br />Schwalbach recommended approval of the Architectural Review for <br />relocation of a sign to the southeast corner of the property as well as <br />aggregating allowed directional signs to a single sign location for 91 West <br />Viking Drive, Planned Parenthood, subject to compliance with the <br />recommendations of the City Planner as outlined in his October 2, 2015 <br />report and subject to either the removal of screening of the sign base <br />located at the Rice Street frontage. <br />Motion seconded by Murphy. <br />Motion carried 6 — 0. <br />The City Planner reported that the City is negotiating for the purchase of <br />30 Little Canada Road for the purpose of extending the City's park land <br />along Round Lake. The Planner noted that with either the sale or purchase <br />of property by the City, the Planning Commission is required by Statute to <br />comment on whether the action supports the City's Comprehensive Plan. <br />It was noted that the City has been working over the long term to acquire <br />properties between Little Canada Road and Round Lake for park land <br />purposes. <br />Buesing moved in support of the City's purchase of 30 Little Canada Road <br />for the purpose of extending park land along Round Lake finding that this <br />action supports the City's Comprehensive Plan for the area. <br />Motion seconded by Ledin. <br />Motion carried 6 — 0. <br />There being no further business, Duray adjourned the meeting at 8:17 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitt <br />c <br />'Kafhy Gl <br />City Cler <br />7 <br />
