The first
issue relates to development of a plan for the direction the Parks &
Recreation Department will go in the future. That plan will include such
things as program offerings and activities, communication, etc. This is the
reason that this Committee was put together. Keis indicated that this will
take some work on the part of the committee. Keis indicated that the
second issue relates to the 2016 Budget and the fact that the preliminary
levy increase is over 6%. Keis noted that the goal is to refine the Budget
and bring that increase down to a more reasonable level. Keis noted that
past increases have been in the 3% range or less.
