He <br />further noted that the exterior materials on the garage would match the <br />house as closely as possible. <br />Rheaume asked if there would be electrical service and plumbing in the <br />garage. Adelmann replied that there would be a 110-amp service in the <br />garage but no plumbing. <br />Duray pointed out that there are 6-foot drainage and utility easements <br />along the lot lines. The City Planner indicated that those a~'e typical <br />easements. Adelma~m noted that the garage is proposed to be 10 feet from <br />the property line and 12 feet from the house. The City Planner indicated <br />that the shoreland setback is 50 feet, and the setback for the garage <br />exceeds that amount. <br />Keis noted the letter submitted by Michelle DeBace expressing concern <br />that the proposed garage would block the view to the lake. Adelmann <br />indicated that there is a great deal of shrubbery at the back of his property, <br />therefore, be questioned that there was much view of the lake. <br />Duray noted the recommendations in the City Flannel's report. Adelmann <br />indicated that he has uo problem complying with those recommendations. <br />Keis asked if there was another location on the lot where Adelmann could <br />place the garage. Adelmann indicated that the proposed location provides <br />the easiest access and requires the removal of the least amowrt of trees. <br />Weihe noted that no home occupation activities could occur in the ga~'age. <br />Adelmann asked if he would be able to do woodworking iu the garage. <br />Keis replied that woodworking as a hobby is f ne, and again noted that no <br />home occupation would be allowed. <br />James Lenthe, 3'19 Savage Lane, pointed out that the proposed ga~'age <br />would be immediately adjacent to his home and deck and would be visible <br />from his kitchen windows on the west side of his house. Lenthe indicated <br />that the garage would block his view of the lake. Lenthe indicated that the <br />back of t}~e garage as it abuts his property would provide awalled-in <br />atmosphere and would block out sunlight. <br />Lenthe expressed concern over the condition of the Adelmann property <br />noting that there is junk in the yard that is an eyesore. Lenthe was <br />concerned that once the garage is constructed there would be junk stored <br />on the back side of the garage. <br />-2- <br />
