NCIN UT:ES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH: 24, 2004 <br />Road/Arcade Street area that may be a candidate for a conservation district <br />designation. Blesener noted that there is a large tract of land in his <br />neighborhood that may also be a candidate. <br />Fahey asked if the Council wanted to take this issue to the next step a call <br />for a worlahop to discuss the creation of a conservation district. Montour <br />agreed that the concept has merit, but suggested that a survey be done of <br />similar sized cities to see if any have conservation districts or something <br />similar. Anderson suggested staff also determine how land is acquired by <br />the cities that have these districts. Anderson asked if the city utilizes its <br />funds to acquire property or if property is acquired through donations. <br />Fahey suggested that once the information is obtained, the matter be <br />scheduled for discussion by the Planning Commission. <br />VARIANCE & Mayor Fahey noted that the Planning Canmission has tabled action on <br />AMENDMENT .Precision Tree's request for a Variance to allow additional outdoor storage <br />TO CUP - in excess of Code limitations as well as an Amendment to CiJP to reflect <br />PRECISION outdoor storage on the site plan as well as an accessory structure for a <br />TREE wood burning stove pending additional information. <br />The City Administrator reported that the matter should be tabled until the <br />May 26'x' Council meeting to give Precision Tree time to put together <br />some additional information. The Administrator reported that Precision <br />Tree has signed a 60-day waiver until the May 26°i meeting. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTIDN NO. 2004-3-SI - TAI37 LNG ACTION ON THE <br />PIZECI.SION TREE RED UEST FOR VARIANCE AND AMENDMENT <br />TO CONDITIONAL USE PERR'IIT UNTIL THE NIAY 26, 2004 <br />COUNCIL RIEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (~) LaValle, Blesener, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PROPERTY Mayor i'ahey opened the Public Hearing to consider the Property <br />COMBINATION, Combination of the former Ma~yhouse property and the St. John's <br />REZONING, & Cemetery property into one parcel, Rezoning of the former Maryhouse <br />BILL AND property from Single-Family Residential to Public, as well as a <br />EXCAVATION Pill/Excavation Permit. It ~e~as noted that the Planning Commission has <br />PERA~IIT- recommended approval of the Property Combination and the Rezoning. <br />4>0 LITTLE <br />
