Therefore, the neon window signs would be <br />acceptable. <br />Knudsen suggested that NIr. Nicldeson develop a signage plan for the <br />property that is in compliance with the Code. The City Planner reported <br />that the height and width of the two street frontages as well as the square <br />footage of the building; would be needed to calculate the amount of square <br />footage of signage allowed under the ordinance. Niclcleson indicated that the <br />signage plan submitted was suggested by the A & W corporate office. <br />Knudsen indicated that Che City has many corporate businesses, and if it <br />allowed signage as proposed by Che corporate ottice, it would end up with <br />"a dog's bre~ild'ast". Knudsen suggested that there may be a creative way <br />to accomplish what Nicldeson is seeking while; complying with the City's <br />Codes. <br />t{nudsen recoupmended tabling the Variance to exceed the munber of wall <br />signs allowed as well as Architectural Review of the proposed signage for <br />A & W at ,006 Rice Street until the December 9, ?004 Planning <br />Commission meeting. <br />Motion seconded by ~~~ojcil:. <br />i~1otion carried ~ - 0. <br />
