MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCI3 24, 2004 <br />PROPERTY <br />DIVISION - <br />G01 EAST <br />COUNTY <br />ROAD B-2 - <br />MARY TORBES <br />Mayor Fahey opened the public hearing to consider the request to <br />subdivide a property into two single-family lots made by Mary Forbes <br />at 607 East County Road B-2. The Planning Commission has <br />recommended approval of the property division subject to compliance <br />with the recommendations of City staff'. <br />Mike O'Brien, representing Mary Forbes, appeared before the Council and <br />requested that the Council allow a driveway grade of '10% for the lot. <br />O'Brien repa'ted that the City Engineer has reviewed this request and <br />finds it acceptable. <br />Blesener pointed out that the City Engineer is recommending that the <br />parking area for the driveway be at no more than a 5% grade. O'Brien <br />indicated that the new lot will be relatively flat. White the driveway will <br />likely he at l0% as it comes in from the street, the parking area in front of <br />the new garage will not exceed 5%. It was noted that the properties to the <br />west have significantly steeper driveway grades than 10%. <br />Chuck Vermeersch, 626 East County Road B-2, indicated his support for <br />the property division. He asked the Council to ensure that the existing <br />easement across the property which provides lake access for some of the <br />properties on the south side of County Road B-2 remains. <br />There was no one else from the general public present wishing to <br />Comment on this matter. <br />Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-3-56 -APPROVING THE PROPERTY <br />DIVISION (JF 627 FAST COUNTY ROAD 73-2 INTO TWO SINGLE- <br />FAMILY I OT.S AS RED UESTED ]3Y MARY FORI3E.S b'U73.IECT TO <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY <br />PLANNER, CIT P ENGINEER, AND PUI3/,IC WORKS DIRECTOR, <br />ALLOWING A 70 % GRADE FOR THE DRI vEWAY OF THE NEW <br />LOT WITH 5 % GRADE FOR THE PARKING AItL'A, AND <br />DECLARING THAT TIIE Ea7STING LAKE ACCESS EASEMENT IS <br />TO REMAIN <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (S) LaValle, Blesener, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />
