MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 11, 2004 <br />participation in clean up day has been dropping since the City <br />implemented charges for the collection of trash and tires. The Council <br />discussed the benefits of clean up day in providing a convenient place for <br />residents to dispose of unwanted materials and helping from a property <br />maintenance issue. <br />The Director pointed out that he is proposing that the City continue the <br />collection electronic materials at the current recycling rate and clothing <br />and trash at no charge at cleanup day. The Director also recommended <br />that the curbside appliance pick up continue as currently exists. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RF.bY)I,UTION NO. 2004-5-96 -ADOPTING THE <br />RECOMMENDATION OF THE PU737.IC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />RELATIVE TO CLEAN UP DAY AS O UTL INED 1N III S REPORT <br />DATEDMAY.S, 2004 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Montour, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ADJOURN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />REb`OLUTION NO. 2004-5-97 - AD.IOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Montour, Fahey. <br />Nays (0).
