1VIINUTES OF TILE REGULAR MEETING CITY COUNCIL LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA JUNE 23, 2004 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 23rd day of June, 2004 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of the City Council were present at roll call: CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Council Member Council Member Council Member Council Member Mr. Michael I. Fahey Mr. Matt Anderson Mr. Bill Blesener Mr. Jim LaValle Mi~. Rick Montour ALSO PRESENT: City Administ~'ator City Attorney City Planner Cable TV Deputy Clerk Mr. Joel R. 13anson Mr. Tom Sweeney Mr. Steve Grittman Mr. Brandon Rickert Ms. Kathy Glanzer HISTORICAL Mayor Fahey thanked the Historical Society for their donation of SOCIETY $10,000 toward the repayment for their building addition to the City DONATION Center. MINUTES Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2004-6-130 -APPROUINC THE MINUTES OF THE JUNE 9, 200A WORXSHOP COUNCI] MEDTING AND TFIE .TUNE 9, 2004 R~GDI AX COUNCIL MEETING AS SU73MITED The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Anderson. Ayes (5) Blesener, Anderson, Montour, Fahey, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. TEXT Mayor Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider a text amendment AMENDMENT- to the Zoning Code relative to the allowable side yard setbacks within SIDE YARD the Single-Family Residential (R-])Zoning District. It was noted that SETBACKS the proposed Text Amendment would allow a fve-foot side yard setback IN R-1 on the garage side of a house and would require that living space be no closer than ten feet from the side yard. The Planning Commission recommended approval of the Text Amendment provided that "living space" is clearly defined iu the ordinance.
