1VIINUTES OF TILE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JUNE 23, 2004 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 23rd day of <br />June, 2004 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Rick Montour <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />City Administ~'ator <br />City Attorney <br />City Planner <br />Cable TV <br />Deputy Clerk <br />Mr. Joel R. 13anson <br />Mr. Tom Sweeney <br />Mr. Steve Grittman <br />Mr. Brandon Rickert <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />HISTORICAL Mayor Fahey thanked the Historical Society for their donation of <br />SOCIETY $10,000 toward the repayment for their building addition to the City <br />DONATION Center. <br />MINUTES Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-6-130 -APPROUINC THE MINUTES OF <br />THE JUNE 9, 200A WORXSHOP COUNCI] MEDTING AND TFIE <br />.TUNE 9, 2004 R~GDI AX COUNCIL MEETING AS SU73MITED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Anderson. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Anderson, Montour, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />TEXT Mayor Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider a text amendment <br />AMENDMENT- to the Zoning Code relative to the allowable side yard setbacks within <br />SIDE YARD the Single-Family Residential (R-])Zoning District. It was noted that <br />SETBACKS the proposed Text Amendment would allow a fve-foot side yard setback <br />IN R-1 on the garage side of a house and would require that living space be no <br />closer than ten feet from the side yard. The Planning Commission <br />recommended approval of the Text Amendment provided that "living <br />space" is clearly defined iu the ordinance. <br />
