MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 8, 2004 <br />FIRE RELIEF It was the consensus of the Council that ajoint meeting of the City <br />MEETING Council and the Fire Relief Board should be scheduled when the City <br />Administrator completes his research on the issue of pension benefit <br />levels. <br />COUNCIL Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />VACANCY <br />RLSOI, UTION NO. 200A-9-215 -DECLARING, WITIT REGRETS, A <br />VACANCY ON THE CITY COLINCII D i7E TO THE RESIGNATION <br />OF MATT ANDERSON <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Fahey, Montour, Blesener. <br />Nays(0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Council noted that the'Rick Montour has filed for re-election and <br />Barbara Allan has filed for election to the two Council Member seats on <br />the ballot at the November 2"`~ election. The Council instructed the City <br />Administrator to contact Barbara Allan to determine if she is interested in <br />being appointed to fill the vacancy caused by Matt Anderson's <br />resignation. If she is interested and is not be elected on November 2°`~, <br />Allan would then serve the remainder of Matt Anderson's term which <br />expires on December 31, 2004. <br />ADJOURN Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI, IJTION NO. 2004-9-216 -ADJOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Fahey, LaValle, Montour, Blesener. <br />Nays (0).
