MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 26, 2003 <br />PURCHASE OF Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />TAX FORFEITED <br />PROPERTY - RE.SOI. UT1ON NO. 2003-3-69 -AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE <br />SAVAGE LANE TO TAa FORFEITED PROPERTY CONSISTING OFA PORTION <br />OF SAVAGE LANE FOR UTILIZATION FOR ROAD RIGHT-OF- <br />WAYPURPO.S`ES FROMRAM.S'EYCOUNTYASRECOMMENDED <br />]3Y THE CITY ADMINIST RATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Montour, Blesener, Fahey, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />STREET Council reviewed the Public Worl<s Director's report relative to the <br />LIGHT relocation of street lights along Little Canada Road as well as along <br />RELOCATION First Bank Drive for use as part of the street amenities on Market Place <br />COST Drive. Council discussed the possibility of retaining some of the <br />REPORT lights along the south side of Little Canada Road adjacent to the <br /> redevelopment project, as well as the developer's desire to extend the <br /> lighting theme along Rice Street. <br />It was the consensus of the Council that lights can be removed from the <br />south side of Little Canada Road and that staff review the matter with <br />Sherman & Associates as it relates to the Rice StreetLLittle Canada <br />redevelopment project and put together a comprehensive lighting plan for <br />this area as well as Market Place Drive for further review before removal <br />occurs. <br />TOBACCO Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />LICENSE - <br />228 LITTLE RESOL UTION NO. 20(13-3-70 - APPROVING A TOI3ACC0 LICENSE <br />CANADA AT 228 /_ITTI_E CANADA ROAD FOR HEU HEX AND MAYNAU <br />,ROAD HER .SUI3.IF,CT TO RECEIPT OF A SATISFACTORY SHERIFF'S <br />DEPARTMENT BACKGROUND CHECK <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Anderson. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Anderson, Fahey, Montour, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />AMERICAN The City Administrator reviewed the recent request of a property owner <br />FLAGS in the City that the American flag be flown on light poles as a show of <br />support for service men and women.
