MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 9, 2003 <br />PUBLIC Fahey opened the public hearing to consider a proposed business <br />HEARING - subsidy be granted by the Economic Development Authority and the <br />BUSINESS City to Sherman Associates relative to the development of <br />SUBSIDY FOR approximately 70,000 square feet of new retail and office buildings <br />SHERMAN within the Rice Street and Little Canada Road redevelopment area. <br />ASSOCIATES <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE.S`O7 UTION NO. 2003-7-I48 - APPROVING A BUSINESS <br />SUBSIDY TO SHERMAN ASSOCIATES RELATED TO THE <br />DEVELOPMENT OFAPPROXIMATEI.Y 70,000 SQUARE FEET OF <br />NEW RETAIL AND OFFICE 73 UILDINGS AS PRESENTED I3Y THE <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) Fahey, Blesener, Anderson, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2003-7--149 - T EMPORARILY AD.IOURNING AS <br />TILE CITY COUNCIL AND CONVENING AS THE ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Fahey, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI UTIONNO. 2003-7-IO-APPROVINGA BUSINESS <br />SUBSIDY TO SHERMAN ASSOCIATES RELATED TO TIZE <br />DEVEL OPMENT OF APPROXIMATELY 70,000 SQUARE FEET OF <br />NEW RETAIL.
