MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 13, 2003 <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITYADMINISTRATOR TO <br />EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Anderson, Fahey, Montour. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />RAMSEY The Council reviewed and discussed the survey form relative to the <br />COUNTY continued operation and viability of the Ramsey County League of Local <br />LEAGUE OF Governments. Council indicated its first preference for a reduction in dues <br />LOCAL and services of approximately 30%. Council completed the remainder of <br />GOVERNMENTS the survey relative to meeting dates and times, and directed the City <br />Administrator to respond accordingly. <br />PLANS AND The Council reviewed the City Engineer's report dated August 8, 2003 <br />SPECS FOR relative to Market Place Drive sidewalk amenities which is proposed to <br />MARKET PLACE be done in two phases. It was the consensus of the Council that both <br />DRIVE plain and colored concrete be quoted as alternates for this improvement, <br />AMENITIES with a decision made on that issue at the time bids are received. <br />REVISED The Public Works Director reviewed the revised street lighting plan for <br />STREET the Little Canada Road and Market Place Drive redevelopment area. <br />LIGHTING <br />PLAN FOR Fahey asked if streetlights on Little Canada Road will eventually be <br />REDEVELOP- blocked as the trees along the street mature. The Public Works Director <br />MENT indicated that the trees will be trimmed to ensure this does not happen. <br />AREA <br /> The City Administrator noted that as part of the redevelopment of the Rice <br /> Street and Little Canada Road area, the developer will be adding street <br /> lighting on the south side of Little Canada Road. However, the developer <br /> has not finalized his lighting plan for the development projects in this area. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE.SOI, UTION NO. 2003-8-.184 -ACCEPTING THE REVISED <br />STREET LIGHTING PLAN FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT AREA AS <br />PROPOSED ]3Y THE PUI37.IC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Anderson, Montour, Fahey. <br />Nays (0).
