MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 22, 2003 <br />LAW The City Administrator presented athree-year contract agreement with <br />ENFORCEMENT the Ramsey County Sheriff"s Department for law enforcement services. <br />CONTRACT The Administrator reported that the contracting groups is recommending <br />approval of the contract as submitted. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE.S~OL, UTION N0. 2003-I 0-244 -APPROVING THE LAW <br />ENFORCEMENT CONTRACT WITH THE RAMSEY COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S DEPART MENT AS RECOMMENDED 13Y CITY STAFF, <br />SUBJECT TO REVIEW AND APPROVAI.73Y THE CITY <br />ATTORNEY, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE AMENDMENT ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />GOOSE The Council reviewed the City Administrator's recommendation relative <br />DETERRENT the purchase of a goose control noise gun, which is a goose deterrent <br />DEVICE device. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI UTION N0. 2003-10-245 -AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE <br />OF A GOOSE CONTROL. NOISE GUN AS WELL. AS AMENDMENT <br />OF THE MUNICIPAL. CODE AS RELATES TO THE OPERATION <br />OF THIS GOOSE DETERRENT DEVICE AS RECOMMENDED 13Y <br />THE CITYADMINLSTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Blesener noted that the Municipal Code may also need to be amended <br />relative to State Law changes for conceal and carry. The Administrator <br />indicated that in modifying the Municipal Code for the noise gun, conceal <br />and carry issues will also be addressed. <br />
