MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />March 6, 2003 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation Commission <br />of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 6`" day of March, 2003 in the Council <br />Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair Sackett Glaser called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of the <br />Commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Ms. Ginger Sackett Glaser, Chair <br />Mr. James Broten <br />Mr. David Gray <br />Mr. Craig Larson <br />Mr. Robert Schabacker <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />Ms. Gretchen Crary <br />Mr. Jim Morelan, P&R Director <br />Ms. Kris Pechman, Recording Secretary <br />.iINUTES Gray reconmzended tl:at the minutes fro»: the meeting dated February 6, 2003 be approved as <br />submitted. <br />Motion seconded by Larsozz. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />COMMUNITY The Director asked for more ideas to promote community identity within our park system. <br />IDENTITY The following ideas were discussed: <br />^ Replace missing signs at parks. <br />^ Incorporate our name in associations such as fastpitch. <br />Adding logo to benches, band shell, and shelters at parks. <br />^ Adding logo at skating rink locations. <br />• Adding trail identification signs with logo. <br />The Director asked the members to let him know if they think of any other ideas for promoting <br />our identity. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
