Smith <br />NOEL DR[VG outlined her plans for the a>nsn~ucti~~n of a house on the property. She <br />PROPGR`I'1' reported that the house she is p(annin~= ~.~-ould be a replica ofa grist mill, <br />and noted the proximiu of the property to Gervais \~lill ('arl<. <br />Fahey noted that in the pasi the Cite has discussed the possible use of this <br />property for a new Ciq~ Garaxe. Fahey felt that before the Council could <br />inal<e a decision on ~n,hether or not to sell the property, stat~'should put <br />together a list of potential C'ih~ uses of this property. <br />The City Administrator revie~~~ed hi; report relaCive fo this issue, and noted <br />that some i~l'thc issues that me~~ need to be researched are how the City <br />acquired the propeny, polcrni~al uses i;f the site, soil conditions, etc. The <br />issue should also be present: d to the Paths R Recreation Commission for <br />a recommendation. 13ePi~r~ addressing these. issues, the City Administrator <br />indicated that' he ~-~<uu~d to d~ierniine ii~therc was any interest by the <br />Council in the possible sale ohthe property- <br />Fahey noted Smith's comment ni her memo re<,ardin~~ the division of this <br />property into two lots, Smith reported that while she is not sme whether <br />or not she ~.vould divide the property and construct a second house, she <br />could not say that She would definitely retain the prol.>erty as one lot. <br />Fahey felt that the grist mill house concept ~a,as a creative way to acquire <br />land in Little Canaiia. tle note-d, hi>~wcvcr, that the grist mill appearance is <br />nothing more than the outside appearance of the house. This would not be <br />a facility that ~.vould be <~pe.n to (he general public. i'ahey stated that his <br />initial reaction is flier he is nai inclined to sell the property for this <br />purpose <br />Anderson noted that ivpic,tllc a grist mill wheel is set on water. Smith <br />replied that that ~n-as correct She noted tha( the ~n~heel ~n~ould likely give <br />the appearance of a Full whorl, but avould be on grade and ~,ive the <br />appearance of a grist mill <br />Anderson felt that the first issue is ~whcther or not the City should sell the <br />property.
