MINUTES <br />Parks & Recreation Commission <br />November 7, 2002 <br />Accommodation of cars for ice fishing access. <br />Drainage improvements. <br />The Commission recommended re-establishment of the natural shoreline in the area north of <br />the beach. They also suggested adding access for kids on bikes so they do not have to mix <br />with the cars. <br />Sanders asked if the Commission would be interested in hosting a joint meeting with the lake <br />association and County. Little Canada City Center would be a convenient location for <br />residents to attend. This meeting would have to beheld soon due to the tight schedule. The <br />Commission recommended holding it in December. <br />VACANCIES The Director stated that Carla Horwath resigned and Craig Larson's terms expire at the end <br />of December. He encouraged Larson to reapply. <br />DIRECTOR'S The Director reported on the following: <br />REPORT <br />• Nine teams are formed for basketball league this year. Last year, ten teams were formed. <br />• All of the 55 Alive classes scheduled this month are full. <br />• The soccer field at Pioneer Park took a beating this year due to the moisture and high use. <br />This problem will take some time to fix. <br />• Rondeau Park improvements will be re-bid this December/January. <br />OTHER Schabacker stated that the Rondeau Park pond level is still high. The Director stated that he <br />has noticed a lot of standing water this season due to all of the rain. <br />ADJOURN Schabacker recommended that tlae meeting be adjourned. <br />Motion seconded by Larson. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:50 p.m. <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />
