D~IINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 12, 2002 <br />BIDS P'OR The City Adminish~ator reported that the City has received one bid for the <br />2002 2002 improvement work, and that bid is approximately $300,000 over <br />ID%[PROVELVIEN"TS estimate. The Administrator reported that City staff is currently doing a <br />pricing analysis to determine if certain components of the bid package can <br />be broken out as separate projects. He noted that staff would like to <br />proceed with portions of the improvement work such as the sewer line <br />relocation that is part of the Garden Terrace addition as well as the Ryan <br />Drive improvement Hoy-vever, the contractor has indicated that these <br />components are not enough work to warrant proceeding under the bid. <br />The Administrator also indicated that the City Attorney is reviewing the <br />provisions of the contract to clarify the City's rights in this regard. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE.SOI. UTION NO. 2002-6-I3b' - TA13I INC, ACTION ON THE 2002 <br />IbIPROVEn~IENT 13CDS PENDING A REPORT FROM THE CITI' <br />ATTORNEI'AND CITI'AD~iHNISTRATOI2 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Montour, Anderson, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />LOAN Or "fhe City Council reviewed the City Administrators recommendation that <br />ST. JOTiN'S the picture of St. John's Church which was recently donated to the City by <br />PICTURE Dicl: Spooner should be loaned to St. John's for display in their new <br />building. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UT/ON NO. 2002-6-139 -APPROVING TFIE LOAN OF THE <br />S'T..IOHN'S CHURCH P/C'TURE TO ST..IOHN'.S' FOR ULSPI AY IN <br />THEIR NEYi~ BUILD/NG AS REC'OflIMENDED /33' THE CITY <br />ADMINLSTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />OUTDOOR Scalze pointed out that City's recent approval of outdoor storage for the <br />STORAGE IN Orius building at 3250 Spruce Street which involves outdoor storage in <br />T'i3,E T-P the front of their building. Scalze questioned whether the City wanted <br />DISTRICT to continue to allow outdoor storage in front of buildings in the I-P <br />~ District, which are the City's highest and best industrial use areas.
