<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Mayor Keis and Members of the City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br /> <br />DATE: February 5, 2016 <br /> <br />RE: Ramsey/Washington Metro Watershed District (RWMWD) <br />2016 Waterfest Sponsorship <br /> <br /> <br />For the past three years, the Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District (RWMWD) requested sponsorship <br />money from the City for its annual WaterFest event that is held at Lake Phalen Park. In 2013 the City approved <br />a $500 sponsorship for the event, a $600 sponsorship in 2014, and the same amount in 2015. The cost of this <br />sponsorship was added to the City’s Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program as an annual expenditure in <br />the name of improving water quality and education. <br /> <br />This year the RWMWD has again invited the City to become a Silver Level Sponsor with a $600 donation. The <br />Silver Level Sponsorship will allow for the City’s logo to be prominently displayed on the WaterFest poster and <br />on the web page and press releases. The City has budgeted for this expense, and staff is recommending <br />approval at this time. <br /> <br />WaterFest is scheduled for Saturday, June 4th, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
