MINUTES OF' THE REGULAR MEETING PLANNING COMMISSION LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA DECEMBER 12, 2002 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 12th day of December, 2002 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Chair John Keis called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: PLANNING COMMISSION: Mr. John Keis Mr. Scott Barraclough Mr. Tom Duray Mr. Dan Knudsen Mr. Tom Roycraft Mr. Tom Wojcik ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner Mr. Jeremy Brodin, Cable TV Producer Ms. Kathy Glanzer, Deputy Clerk MINUTES The minutes of the November 14, 2002 Planning Commission meeting were approved as submitted. CONDITIONAL Rick and Jody Seeger, 2586 Spruce Street, appeared before the Planning USE PERMIT- Commission requesting approval of a Conditional Use Permit so they 2586 SPRUCE can construct a second garage structure on their property as well as have STREET - total garage space exceeding 1,000 square feet in size. The Seeger's SEEGER reported that they ai-e demolishing the existing house on their property and wish to construct a new house with an attached garage. There is an existing freestanding garage on the property as well as an existing shed that they would like to retain. Keis pointed out the Seeger's are also proposing a second driveway access for the property. He noted that while the City Planner is recommending approval of the CUP, he is recommending that the property be limited to one curb cut. The Planning Commission informed the Seeger's that their position was in support of only one driveway access for the property. Alternatives were explored which included demolition of the existing garage and increasing the size of the new garage to three cars, flipping the
