MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />NOVEMBER 14, 2002 <br />The Commission discussed the proposed text amendment and found it to <br />be acceptable. They noted that it will allow Montreal Courts to do what <br />they want without expanding the sign ordinance any further than the <br />request. <br />Knudsen recommended approval of the ordinance amending Section <br />903.110.E of the Little Canada City Code, known as the Zoning <br />Ordinance, by providing for regulation of signs in an R-3 Zoning District <br />as proposed by the City Planner. <br />Motion seconded by Barraclough. <br />Motion seconded 6 - 0. <br />REZONING The City Planner reviewed the proposal to rezone property owned by the <br />OF NOEL City on Noel Drive from Single-Family Residential to Public. The <br />DRIVE Planner noted there was a recent request to purchase this property for the <br />PROPERTY development of asingle-family home. The City Council decided that the <br />property would be retained by the City. Therefore, a Public zoning <br />designation would be proper. <br />Lucille Nadeau reported that she and her husband sold this property to the <br />City several years ago as a potential public works garage site. A <br />stipulation of the sale was that the property be utilized by the City and any <br />public works garage structures be done well. The City Planner indicated <br />that there is currently no anticipated use of the property. The City has <br />purchased property on County Road B as a potential future public works <br />garage site. The Council recent discussion to retain the property related to <br />open space and possibly future park or other purposes. <br />Roycraft felt that the property should be sold on the open market and <br />should not be retained by the City. Knudsen noted that the Council has <br />made the decision to retain the property. <br />The City Planner noted that should the Council change its mind and decide <br />to sell the property, it can be rezoned. <br />Duray recommended approval of the Rezoning of the City-owned property <br />on Noel Drive from Single-Family Residential (R-1) to Public (P). <br />Motion seconded by Wojcik. <br />Motion carried 5 - 1.
