MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />March 3, 2016 <br /> <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & <br />Recreation Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held on <br />the 3rd day of March in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road East in said city. <br /> <br /> Chair Dave Miller called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the following <br />members of the commission were present: <br /> <br /> MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Sharen Darling <br /> Mr. Ron Horwath <br /> Mr. Tom Maida <br /> Mr. Dave Miller <br /> Mr. Tom Ray <br /> Mr. Peter Schletty <br /> <br />ABSENT: Ms. Patti Sullivan <br /> <br /> ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks and Rec. Director <br /> Ms. Katie McGinnity, Rec. Supervisor <br /> Mr. Kevin Helander, Cable TV Producer <br /> Ms. Anna Leibel, Recording Secretary <br /> <br />Schletty made a motion to approve the minutes from the December <br />meeting. Ray seconded the motion. The motion passed 6 – 0. <br /> <br /> <br />The Director reported he had received an email from the City Engineer <br />regarding the estimates. The City Engineer explained he would be able to <br />get more firm costs later this spring. <br /> <br /> <br /> Chair Miller reported the Commission had held a workshop just prior to <br />tonight’s meeting to discuss the next steps for the Transition Planning <br />Committee and the Director’s transition to part time hours. Chair Miller <br />explained the Commission talked with Councilman Fischer about the <br />mission and goals for the Parks and Recreation Department. The <br />Commission plans to work on these items and present the latest version at <br />the next meeting. Chair Miller reported the Commission had also <br />discussed the Director’s transition to part time hours as he prepares for <br />retirement.
