MINUTES <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />March 3, 2016 <br />The Recreation Supervisor reported registration is open for the three driver <br />safety classes in April. The 55 and over class provides discounts to your <br />insurance for participating. There will be a four hour morning class, a four <br />hour evening class, and an eight hour day class. <br />The Recreation Supervisor reported Little Canada Gymnast Maggie <br />Nichols will be on NBC this Saturday from noon to two for the AT&T <br />American Cup. <br /> The Recreation Supervisor asked the Commission to consider revamping <br />the Ice Cream Social. The Commission agreed they did want to change it <br />up. The Recreation Supervisor reminded them it would need to be <br />finalized quickly so it can be put in the Canadian Days Schedule. <br /> The Recreation Supervisor reported the Spring Registration flyers went <br />out this week. This year the City will also be offering a 60 plus softball <br />team in addition to the other adult softball league. <br /> The Director reported the Parks and Recreation Department would be <br />putting on a bus trip to the Saint Paul Saints game in May. <br /> Chair Miller suggested putting Park Tour Ideas on the agenda for next <br />month to discuss which parks they would like to visit in May. Chair Miller <br />suggested visiting the new warming house.
