MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 13, 2016 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 13th day of <br />April, 2016 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Christian Torkelson <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator <br />Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />City Clerk <br />Ms. Heidi Heller <br />CTV Consultant <br />Ms. Barbara Raye <br />Cable TV Producer <br />Ms. Vanessa Van Alstine <br />Cable TV Producer <br />Mr. Kevin Helander <br />The purpose of this evening's meeting is for the City Council to discuss <br />upcoming strategic planning for CTV and economic development. <br />DISCUSS <br />Barbara Raye, consultant for CTV, stated that she was talking with all nine <br />UPCOMING CTV <br />cities that are part of CTV to discuss the upcoming strategic planning <br />STRATEGIC <br />session. She stated that she was a neutral party and was gathering <br />PLANNING <br />questions or concerns from the City Councils in the participating cities. A <br />review of 2015 CTV video was played at this time. <br />McGraw asked how concerned CTV should be about the amount of people <br />now using streaming versus watching cable. Montour stated that there are <br />a few shows available to stream from CTV now. He stated that any live or <br />archived shows can be streamed. Ms. Raye stated good questions to ask <br />CTV is how are they keeping up with new technology and how are users <br />changing. Cable TV Producer Van Alstine stated that the city can spend <br />money to provide more on -demand and streaming availability for <br />residents. <br />
