lyo� <br />Ettlea <br />ada <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />DATE: <br />RE: <br />Mayor Keis and Members of City Council <br />Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />March 9, 2016 <br />Formation of Old Fire Hall Committee <br />STAFF REPORT <br />Pursuant to the Council's direction at our last meeting, the following have agreed to serve of the <br />committee that will evaluate the future use and resultant building upgrades for the Old Fire Hall: <br />• St. John's Church — Kevin Hamemick <br />• Little Canada Historical Society — Don Gagne <br />• Little Canada Recreation Association — Jon Joriman <br />• Little Canada Fire Department — Chief Don Smiley <br />• Parks & Recreation Commission — Peter Schletty <br />• Planning Commission — Bill Buesing (architecture background) <br />• Citizen at Large — Dick Naughton (James Steele Construction) <br />• Citizen at Large — Dick Flipp (Brooks Avenue resident) <br />• City Council Member #1 — TBD <br />• City Council Member #2 — TBD <br />• Parks & Recreation Director — Jim Morelan <br />• Public Works Director — Bill Dircks <br />• City Administrator — Joel Hanson <br />We are still waiting to hear back from St. Johns and one of the Citizen at large candidates. <br />Regarding the project, I'm attaching some usage statistics for the rental hall over the last three years. <br />I have also attached the information we provided on the Old Fire Hall relative to the 2016 Budget <br />Discussion. Finally, I have attached the quote for the exterior building renovations discussed at our <br />last meeting as prepared by Dick Naughton of JSC. <br />The Council needs to finalize committee appointments and provide direction on meeting dates and <br />times. We can then get this show on the road. <br />Old Fire Hall Budget Info: <br />The Old Fire Hall is currently used as a rental hall downstairs and equipment storage upstairs. The <br />anneal operating costs were $7800 in 2013, $8700 in 2014, and were budgeted to be $10,600 in 2015, <br />but the final numbers are not in yet. It is probably safe to assume that the annual operating costs will <br />2 <br />
