<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Mayor Keis and Members of City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Heidi Heller, City Clerk <br /> <br />DATE: April 22, 2016 <br /> <br />RE: Appointments to the Parks & Recreation Commission and Planning Commission <br /> <br /> <br />Interviews were held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 with three candidates for one open position on <br />the Parks & Recreation Commission and one position on the Planning Commission. All of the <br />candidates were very good. The interview panel has made recommendations for the City <br />Council. The application for the second Planning Commission candidate will be kept on file, <br />and staff will contact them the next time there is an opening. <br /> <br />City Administrator Joel Hanson and Parks & Rec Director Jim Morelan, along with Mayor John <br />Keis, interviewed Rose Chu for one open position on the Parks & Rec Commission. The <br />interview committee recommends the Council appoint Rose Chu to serve the remainder of the <br />open term, which runs through December 2016. <br /> <br />City Administrator Joel Hanson, Mayor John Keis, Councilmember Tom Fischer and Planning <br />Commission Chair Tom Duray, interviewed Nick Sandell and Jeff Holden for one open position <br />on the Planning Commission. The interview committee recommends the Council appoint Nick <br />Sandell to serve the remainder of the open term, which runs through December 2016. <br /> <br /> <br />
