Plumbing fixtures throughout the facility do not
meet current water use standards nor current accessibility standards. Irrigation water exits the
building on the northwest corner and ties into a backflow preventer. There is evidence of a small
leak as the pipe exits the building.
4” sanitary sewer exits the northwest corner of the building and connects to an 8” main in
Centerville Road. 8” storm sewer runs along the east side of the west wall of the Apparatus Bays
and connects the roof drains to the 15” main in Little Canada Road.
Gas enters the building from the east side and is piped to mechanical systems, the emergency
generator, the residential dryer, and the kitchen range. Compressed air is piped from the air
compressor on the west wall of the Apparatus Bays to six retractable hose drops in the Bays.
