MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 8, 2016 <br />address temporary family healthcare living needs in ways that are better <br />accommodated here. He stated that City Staff recommends this topic be <br />discussed by the Planning Commission before the Council takes action. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016-6-102 DIRECTING THE PLANNING <br />COMMISSION TO DISCUSS THE TEMPORARY FAMILY <br />HEALTHCARE DWELLINGS LEGISLATION AT THE JULY 14, <br />2016 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING, AND DIRECT CITY <br />STAFF TO DO ADDITIONAL RESEARCH ON THIS TOPIC. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Torkelson. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />NUISANCE The City Administrator stated the City had received complaints regarding <br />ABATEMENT AT the tall grass at 3084 Payne Avenue. He explained that City Staff has sent <br />3084 PAYNE two notices to the property owner stating the violation must be corrected <br />AVENUE by June 8, 2016. He stated that City Staff visited the property on the <br />morning of June 8, 2016, and only part of the yard had been mowed, <br />therefore the nuisance violation still exists. The City Administrator noted <br />that a representative for the property owner left him a voicemail message <br />on June 7, 2016 stating they would no longer be taking care of the <br />property and all future notices should be sent to the bank. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016-6-103 AUTHORIZING THE GRASS <br />NUISANCE ABATEMENT AT 3084 PAYNE AVENUE, AS <br />PRESENTED BY THE CITYADMINISTRA TOR IN THE STAFF <br />REPORT. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution adopted. <br />CANCEL The City Cleric stated that the City Auditors had been scheduled to attend <br />JUNE 20, 2016 the Council Workshop on June 20, 2016, but they are not able to attend <br />COUNCIL until July. She stated that City Staff recommends the Council cancel the <br />WORKSHOP June 20, 2016 Workshop. All Council members agreed to cancel the <br />Workshop. <br />0 <br />
