<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Mayor Keis and Members of City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Heidi Heller, City Clerk <br /> <br />DATE: July 22, 2016 <br /> <br />RE: Announcements <br /> <br /> <br />Night to Unite – Tuesday, August 2nd <br />Night to Unite is a statewide event that builds and fosters community bonds between citizens, <br />businesses, and public safety organizations, such as the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office. This <br />annual celebration occurs on the first Tuesday in August and gathers neighborhoods and public <br />safety personnel together for an evening to promote safe communities. Residents and businesses <br />in Little Canada are encouraged to plan and hold a Night to Unite event in their neighborhoods. <br />Contact the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department if you would like to register your event. <br /> <br /> <br />Hot Dog with a Deputy – Little Canada location: Pioneer Park on August 8th from 5-7pm <br />A summer evening initiative to build community connections with the citizens we serve. Hot <br />dogs, chips, bottled water and frozen fun pops served FREE of charge (thanks to a generous <br />donation from the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Foundation). Sheriff staff will be on hand with a <br />variety of squad cars and equipment (K-9, SWAT, Water Patrol, etc.) to interact with and get to <br />know the residents in the neighborhood. <br /> <br />
