MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 12, 2016 <br />Montour announced the Little Canada Recreation Association Halloween <br />party on October 22" d. He stated there is more information on the website. <br />PRESENTATION: Ramsey County Commissioner Mary Jo McGuire introduced herself and <br />RAMSEY COUNTY stated that she represents District 2, which includes all of Little Canada. <br />COMMISSIONER She gave an update on projects completed with Little Canada and stated <br />MARY JO that the County Board just finished reviewing the second year of the budget <br />MCGUIRE cycle. She explained that the County recently restructured in to four main <br />service areas: Health & Wellness, Information & Public Records, Safety & <br />Justice, and Economic Growth & Community Investment. Commissioner <br />McGuire stated there are many opportunities for community involvement <br />where residents can join several boards within the county. She thanked the <br />City for collaborating with the County on projects. She stated that the Rice <br />Street/694 bridge project is very important and they are still working on <br />finding funding to make this project happen. <br />Torkelson asked how the City or residents can make suggestions when the <br />County is reconstructing streets or on other projects. He requested the <br />Commissioner ensure that Ramsey County Public Works staff works with <br />the cities on the project designs. Commissioner McGuire stated that all <br />road projects are now reviewed for pedestrian/biking capabilities. The City <br />Administrator stated that the City has a very good relationship with all of <br />the county departments, and has worked well with Ramsey County Public <br />Works on projects. He stated that historically the County tries to enhance <br />pedestrian facilities. He noted the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department is <br />very responsive and their service levels are very good for policing. <br />PUBLIC Keis reported that this is a continued public hearing for Precision <br />HEARING - Landscape & Tree after discussion at the September 28, 2016 Council <br />REZONING & meeting. He stated the applicant has not yet submitted the additional plans <br />SUBDIVISION the Council requested, so staff recommends tabling this case until the <br />AT 50 SOUTH October 26, 2016 Council meeting. Fischer asked if the City was still <br />OWASSO within the 60 -day timeline. The City Clerk stated she would check and <br />BOULEVARD; address if an issue. <br />PRECISION <br />LANDSCAPE & Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />TREE <br />RESOLUTION 2016-10-168 -APPROVE TABLING THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING FOR PRECISION LANDSCAPE & TREE UNTIL THE <br />OCTOBER 26, 2016 CITY COUNCIL MEETING. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Aye (5). <br />Nays (0).
