From:Jayne Sherratt
To:Heidi Heller
Cc:*LC_council
Subject:2736 & 2744 Rice Street townhome project
Date:Friday, November 18, 2016 11:20:42 AM
Dear Mayor Keis and Council Members;

I live at 91 Iona Lane, where my back yard is adjacent to the new townhomes being proposed at
2736 & 2744 Rice Street. I have watched the planning commission meeting on line and see that the
planning commission approved this PUD without the fence that I was originally told would go
between my property and the new townhomes. Please reconsider and require that a fence be
installed by the developer on the townhome property. The concern was maintenance on the fence,
but you can get vinyl maintenance free fencing now that is much better than when it first came out
and will look great for a long time without maintenance.
http://www.certainteed.com/fence/maintenance-free-fence/

I am over 70 years old and lived at this home for 48 years. I do not want to wait for the trees to
grow in order to have my privacy. The developer agreed to a fence. In the planning commission
meeting Mr. Gritmann with Cash for Houses, LLC said “We will do whatever is needed. To put a
fence up or not, that is really not a big deal, we will do whatever is needed… if the woman needs a
fence we can put a fence up.”

Well, this woman needs a fence!

Thank you,

Elizabeth Tschida-Miller
91 Iona Lane
Little Canada
