MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 8, 2017 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />SET DATE FOR The City Administrator stated the job has been posted since mid-January <br />PARKS & <br />and 31 resumes have been received to date. He noted the application <br />RECREATION/ <br />closing date is Friday, February l Ott' He stated that the Council has <br />COMMUNITY <br />indicated that they all would like to be included in the interview process, <br />SERVICES <br />and all of the Parks & Recreation Commissioners were invited to attend <br />POSITION <br />the interview. He noted that the Parks Commissioners will be observing <br />INTERVIEWS <br />the interviews, and then will be part of the discussion after. He explained <br />that Staff would like to get dates for the in-person interviews chosen now. <br />The City Administrator explained that the week of March 6t" is planned <br />for the interviews. He noted that there are both Council and Planning <br />Commission meetings that week. <br />The Council agreed to schedule the interviews on Tuesday, March 7t''. <br />The City Administrator recommended starting at least by 5:OOpm. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2017-2-25 — SCHEDULING THE INTERVIEWS <br />FOR THE PARKS & RECREATION/COMMUNITY SER VICES <br />MANAGER POSITION FOR TUESDAY, MARCH 7, 2017 STARTING <br />AT 5: 00PM, UNLESS STAFF DETERMINES IT NECESSARY TO <br />START EARLIER. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that the Council held a workshop prior to <br />tonight's Council meeting to review a proposal for development of city - <br />owned parcels on Twin Lake Boulevard. He stated that a local builder, <br />Masterpiece Homes, was asked if they were interested in developing the <br />two parcels. He explained that Masterpiece Homes brought a proposal to <br />the Council of a 14 -unit development of twin homes, and at this point, <br />there is Council consensus to move forward with the Masterpiece Homes <br />proposal. <br />!I <br />
