In addition to the street improvements that were approved we have also combined other work within the City into the project to capitalize on the economy of scale of a larger project. The following improvements are included in the project: • Reconstruction of Labore Avenue (Jackson Street to the cul-de-sac) • Reconstruction of Rose Place (Jackson Street to Lake Shore Avenue) • Reconstruction of Lake Shore Avenue (Lake Street to the cul-de-sac) • Rehabilitation of Vanderbie Road (Labore Avenue to Allen Avenue) • Installation of Noel Drive Sidewalk (Little Canada Road to City Hall Driveway) • New Fire Hall lot expansion As stated at the public hearing, we are providing a design review meeting to allow affected property owners along the reconstruction streets the opportunity to review the plans and related impacts to their property. This meeting will be held on February 21, 2017 but we do not anticipate significant changes to the plans. At this time we are requesting plan approval and authorization for advertisement for bids from the City Council. It is anticipated that advertisement would begin on February 28, 2017 and bids would be received on March 22, 2017. If you have any questions please call me at (763) 780-0450 extension 3.
