Four (4) bids were received from the following companies listed below from lowest <br />to highest total bid: <br /> <br />Corporation Total Bid <br />T.A. Schifsky & Sons $ 959,998.28 <br />Hardrives, Inc. $1,063,606.67 <br />Park Construction Co. $1,273,291.12 <br />Midwest Civil Constructors $1,553,413.21 <br /> <br />The engineer’s estimate completed at the end of plan and specification preparation <br />estimated the construction cost at approximately $1,200,000.00. Based on the bids <br />received, T.A. Schifsky & Sons is the low bidder. The low bid received appears to be <br />competitive and the bids have been reviewed for errors and/or omissions. T.A. Schifsky <br />& Sons has completed several projects for the City over the years and past experience <br />with them reflects that they are a responsive and responsible bidder. We would <br />recommend the City Council award the project to the low bidder, T.A. Schifsky & Sons in <br />the amount of $959,998.28.
