MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MARCH 7, 2017 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 7th day of <br />March, 2017 in the Conference Room of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City after proper public notice. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. John Keis <br />Council Member Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Council Member Mr. Christian Torlcelson <br />ALSO PRESENT: Parks & Rec. Chair Mr. Dave Miller <br />Parks & Rec. Comm. Ms. Sharen Darling <br />Parks & Rec. Comm. Ms. Patti Sullivan <br />Parks & Rec. Comm. Mr. Tom Ray <br />Parks & Rec. Comm. Ms. Rose Chu <br />City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />Public Works Dir. Mr. Bill Dircks <br />Planning/Code Enf. Ms. Jessica Jagoe <br />Parks Maint. Sup. Mr. Derek Anderson <br />City Clerk Ms. Heidi Heller <br />PARKS & The City Council conducted interviews with Drew Goodson (1:00 p.m.), <br />RECREATION/ Ron Horwath (2:00 p.m.), Taelor Johnson (3:00 p.m.), Sloan Wallgren <br />COMMUNITY (4:00 p.m.), Bryce Shearen (6:00 p.m.) and Katie McGinnity (7:00 p.m.) <br />SERVICES for the position of Parks & Recreation/Community Services Manager. <br />MANAGER— These six candidates were selected for further consideration after <br />1St INTERVIEWS conducting telephone interviews with a pool of fourteen finalists. The <br />interviews consisted of fourteen general questions. <br />At the conclusion of the interviews, the Council, City Staff and Parks & <br />Recreation Commissioners in attendance, deliberated on the merits of each <br />candidate and the long term needs for Parks & Recreation and the City. <br />After this discussion, the consensus of those present was to conduct a <br />second interview with Ron Horwath and Bryce Shearen on March 16, <br />2017 beginning at 6:30 p.m. <br />
