MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING CITY COUNCIL LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA MARCH 7, 2017 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 7th day of March, 2017 in the Conference Room of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City after proper public notice. Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. and the following members of the City Council were present at roll call: CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. John Keis Council Member Mr. Tom Fischer Council Member Mr. Christian Torlcelson ALSO PRESENT: Parks & Rec. Chair Mr. Dave Miller Parks & Rec. Comm. Ms. Sharen Darling Parks & Rec. Comm. Ms. Patti Sullivan Parks & Rec. Comm. Mr. Tom Ray Parks & Rec. Comm. Ms. Rose Chu City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson Public Works Dir. Mr. Bill Dircks Planning/Code Enf. Ms. Jessica Jagoe Parks Maint. Sup. Mr. Derek Anderson City Clerk Ms. Heidi Heller PARKS & The City Council conducted interviews with Drew Goodson (1:00 p.m.), RECREATION/ Ron Horwath (2:00 p.m.), Taelor Johnson (3:00 p.m.), Sloan Wallgren COMMUNITY (4:00 p.m.), Bryce Shearen (6:00 p.m.) and Katie McGinnity (7:00 p.m.) SERVICES for the position of Parks & Recreation/Community Services Manager. MANAGER— These six candidates were selected for further consideration after 1St INTERVIEWS conducting telephone interviews with a pool of fourteen finalists. The interviews consisted of fourteen general questions. At the conclusion of the interviews, the Council, City Staff and Parks & Recreation Commissioners in attendance, deliberated on the merits of each candidate and the long term needs for Parks & Recreation and the City. After this discussion, the consensus of those present was to conduct a second interview with Ron Horwath and Bryce Shearen on March 16, 2017 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
