MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEF,TING CITY COUNCH. LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA JANUARY 23, 2002 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 23rd day of January, 2002 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. and the following members of the City Council were present at roll call: CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Mr. Todd Hagen Property Owner Mr. Dick Boss Deputy Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer REDEVELOP- The purpose of tonight's workshop meeting is to review redevelopment MENT proposals for the southeast corner of Rice Street and Little Canada Road. PROPOSALS Proposals have been received from five development firms, and each firm is scheduled to give a shorC presentation this evening. BEACON Loren Kjersten, Beacon Construction, began a presentation of their CONSTRUCTION redevelopment proposal which is being presented in conjunction with Bernu Companies and Howman Architects. Kjcrsten reported on the history and experience of the fiinls involved. Kjersten reviewed their proposed site plan that includes 25,000 square feet of retail and 60 units of senior housing on three stories over the retail space. Parking for the
