MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEF,TING <br />CITY COUNCH. <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JANUARY 23, 2002 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City Council of <br />Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 23rd day of January, 2002 in the Council <br />Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Fahey called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. and the following <br />members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Michael I. Mr. Todd Hagen <br />Property Owner Mr. Dick Boss <br />Deputy Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />REDEVELOP- The purpose of tonight's workshop meeting is to review redevelopment <br />MENT proposals for the southeast corner of Rice Street and Little Canada Road. <br />PROPOSALS Proposals have been received from five development firms, and each firm is <br />scheduled to give a shorC presentation this evening. <br />BEACON Loren Kjersten, Beacon Construction, began a presentation of their <br />CONSTRUCTION redevelopment proposal which is being presented in conjunction with Bernu <br />Companies and Howman Architects. Kjcrsten reported on the history and <br />experience of the fiinls involved. <br />Kjersten reviewed their proposed site plan that includes 25,000 square feet of retail <br />and 60 units of senior housing on three stories over the retail space.
